Please nominate who you feel are the best two retailers in each of the categories (leave blank any areas you feel unable to complete). Then simply click submit at the bottom of this online form. Closing date for entries is May 21 2012. Where possible, please provide a name of the buyer/owner/department manager, with contact details.

Arriving At The Finalists And Winners

All nominations received will then be correlated and presented to an independent validation panel. This validation panel, comprising industry retail experts will verify the findings, maintaining total integrity of these awards.
There will be six finalists in each category. These finalists will be announced in July.
The winners will remain a closely guarded secret until the lavish Licensing Awards event on Tuesday September 11 in the Grand Ballroom at The Grosvenor House Hotel.

Considerations & Criteria

  • These awards are for retailers' approach and achievement in the area of licensed products over the last year (June 1 2011 to May 2012). The Best Retailer of Brands covers entertainment, heritage, art & design, sports and celebrity licensed properties.
  • With the exceptions of the Best Direct Selling Retailer category, all nominations should be for 'bricks & mortar' retailers of licensed products (but these can have on-line and/or mail order operations)
  • Nominees must trade in the UK
  • Nominees should excel in all areas across the retail spectrum including:
    • Commitment to licensed products
    • Product selection
    • Marketing
    • Display
    • Realising sales potential
    • Retailing evironment
    • Customer care
  • Nominations can be for a retailer's specific treatment of a licensed property or for its overall approach to licensing merchandise in the time period.

You do not need to vote in every category!

Best Pre-School Retailer of Licensed Products (Age Group 0-5) Nominees can be retailers of any discipline selling licensed products aimed at the nursery and/or pre-school market.



Best Kids Retailer of Licensed Products (Age Group 5-16) Nominees can be retailers of any discipline selling licensed products aimed at the children's market.



Best Brand Retailer of Licensed Products Nominees can be retailers of any discipline selling branded licensed products aimed at any target age group.
(By 'brand' this can be sports, celebrity, heritage, art & design or FMCG brands).



Best Direct Selling Retailer of Licensed Products Nominees can be any UK based direct selling operators, selling licensed products aimed at any age group.

In the case of a retailer that also has a 'bricks and mortar' presence, the nomination should be for their online or direct selling activity



Best Overall Retailer of Licensed Products Please select one of your nominees (from the other categories) that you believe has excelled in the retailing of licensed products in the year June 1 2011/May 2012.
